Motion starts with matching the drive to the application. MetaDrive offers products in various specifications for flight propulsion and robotic joints. Start by looking at their intended applications, structural dimensions and test configurations.
Brushless Motors for Different Requirements
The MetaDrive product manual covers eleven brushless motor models, from X2207 to X6215, with positioning across racing and freestyle FPV, long-range aerial imaging and industrial inspection. Their KV ratings, weights, mounting dimensions and test configurations provide a starting point for further system matching.
X2207 / X2810 / X2813 / X3110 / X3115 / X4125
X4215 / X4715 / X5055 / X5315 / X6215
Take X2207-1960KV and X3110-900KV as examples: the two products differ in model, weight including wires and test propeller. Read these conditions together in the manual rather than comparing a single number.
| Model in the manual | KV rating | Weight including wires | Test propeller |
|---|---|---|---|
| X2207 | 1960KV | 33.35g | GF 51466 V2 |
| X3110 | 900KV | 81.78g | HQ 10X5X3 |
Specifications are excerpted from pages 3 and 6 of the manual for product reference. They do not imply direct interchangeability or universal compatibility.
From engineering drawings to test conditions
Basic specifications identify the model. Engineering drawings show the outline, mounting holes and shaft-end dimensions. Test tables record current, thrust, speed, power and thrust efficiency at different throttle settings with specified propellers and voltages.
Use these specifications together. A single maximum-thrust figure is not the usable payload of a complete aircraft, and a listed test current is not a continuous rated current. Product selection still requires checking the power supply, propeller, mounting space and operating conditions individually.

This engineering drawing illustrates how to read product information. Before assembly, check the complete dimensional documentation for the relevant model.
Extending propulsion selection to robotic joints
The manual also introduces two laboratory-grade robotic joint motors. Both use planetary gearboxes and CAN communication interfaces, with a rated voltage of DC24V and a stated operating range of DC18V–36V.

- Rated torque @24V
- 9.55 N·m
- Product weight
- Approx. 560g
- Communication interface
- CAN

- Rated torque @24V
- 6.0 N·m
- Product weight
- Approx. 500g
- Communication interface
- CAN
Applications include humanoid robots, quadruped robots and robotic arms. Customization can be discussed according to requirements. Confirm compatibility against the joint structure, motion requirements and control interfaces for the actual application.

Use Specifications to Start the Discussion
From flight propulsion to robotic joints, model tables introduce the products, while engineering drawings and test data make further discussions more specific. When submitting requirements to MERIVUS, we recommend including the following information:
- Application & TargetsWhat equipment will use the product, and what motion or power requirements must it meet?
- Installation and power supplyAvailable installation space, interface dimensions, power supply conditions and intended supporting components.
- Quantity & DeliveryPlanned purchase quantity, requested lead time and any custom specifications to discuss.

Product and selection FAQs
What products and supporting software services does MERIVUS offer?
MERIVUS offers brushless motors, X01 integrated robotic joint modules, motorcycle rearset kits and project-based ground station software customization. See Products for specific models and standard prices. Custom scope is assessed against your requirements.
What information should I prepare when asking about brushless motor selection?
Please provide your application goals, power supply plan, intended propeller, installation space and hole positions, purchase quantity and delivery requirements. When comparing test data, check voltage, propeller and throttle conditions together. Test thrust must not be treated as an aircraft payload rating.
What is the difference between X01-010 and X01-020?
The manual-to-sales-SKU mapping is confirmed: X01-010 weighs 560g, measures Ø76.5×81mm, and has a rated torque of 9.55N·m at 24V. X01-020 weighs 500g, measures Ø76.5×63mm, and has a rated torque of 6.0N·m at 24V. Both are integrated joint modules with CAN communication. Assess integration requirements using their laboratory-grade product documentation.
